Treetops Montessori School
The School Treetops Montessori School is located in Darlington, Western Australia. Our Vision is that Treetops is an excellent, intimate Montessori educational community which, through its children, makes a difference. The School fosters an approach to education that enables the students of the School to develop skills of literacy, communication, self-knowledge and awareness of their social and physical environment, according to the principles and philosophy of the Montessori Method.
Treetops is operated as an extension of the family ensuring that the students, parents and teachers form an integral part of the school community. Students are encouraged to participate in the day to day decision making of the School. The School syllabus provides for the concept of individual development, encourages students to take responsibility for their own actions and encourages students to respect the rights of other people. The School also fosters positive engagement with the community by the students, teachers and parents alike.
The Children In 2011 new buildings were commenced at the School, which include a purpose built art room (a first for Treetops). The 30x30x30 Challenge is a celebration of the new facility and a fundraiser to help provide art supplies as well as to fund future workshops and art programs. The project will ensure the arts remain an integral part of education for our children.
